I finally gave up. I realized there is no nobility in suffering.

Last night around 11 pm, I realized I couldn’t do it anymore. I drove myself to the ER to find out what the heck is going on with me.

I had kidney stone pain near my bladder. But the pain would also move back up to my kidney too. The pain is one thing, but I’m extremely worried I’m feeling back pressure from the blockage where this stone could potentially be damaging my kidney too. I can be stubborn enough to endure the pain, but to also risk damage to my internal organ(s) is too much.

At any rate, my suspicions were correct. I had a 10mm stone stuck in my ureter and there was evidence of kidney infection as a result.

The doctors and staff at IHC were amazing though. I was lucky enough to get scheduled for surgery the same day. I left the ER at 4 am and was back in the Hospital by 8am getting ready to have a doctor stick a laser up my pee hole to blast that fuckin stone into oblivion.

They shot up the stone, installed a stint, and sent me on my way. I still have one more 12mm stone still in my kidney. But that worry is for another day.

Now that I’m home, I feel like a million bucks. It hurts like hell when I pee and I have blood in my urine but overall I’m relaxed and the abdominal pain is gone. Some people recover after surgery. I’m just gonna go ahead and try to get some work done.

If this isn’t a fuckin’ wake up call, I don’t know what is.
